Invisible is an online platform for new photography based in Barcelona and New York City Invisible was founded in early 2011 in Barcelona, Spain, by journalist Lluís de Nadal and photographer Anna Huix. It is a space of and for new photography and it is committed to displaying work by both Spanish and international photographers. With its monthly online solo shows, group shows and interviews, Invisible aims to create a space for a dialogue between photographers and photography lovers around emerging photography.
Invisible is mostly internet based although it is not strictly an online magazine, nor a gallery or publishing house. The virtual nature of the project enables the creation of a hybrid formula, where the physical world informs the virtual and vice versa. Open to change and free from labels, Invisible is a white wall meant to be filled with photography. It can take the shape of an exhibition, a book, a blog or simply a trading space for photographers.
We believe there is always new work to be created and new ways of making it real. Magic is everywhere. Genius never dies. But sometimes, it is invisible.
